MORNING

Period of time from sunrise to noon. 

There are no exact times for when morning begins and ends because they can vary according to one’s lifestyle and the hours of daylight at each time of year. However, morning strictly ends at noon, which is when afternoon starts.

RITUAL

A solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order.

A ritual is not the same thing as a routine. 

A morning routine might involve exercising, showering, dressing, reading the paper and eating breakfast. 

A ritual may involve these same mundane chores, but a ritual takes on a meaning beyond getting a task completed.
